Call For Submissions

The Gay Health Forum is an annual conference focusing on the sexual health and well-being of gay, bisexual and  Men who have sex with Men (gbMSM).  Coordinated annually by the Gay Health Network (GHN), the Gay Men’s Health Service (GMHS) and various partners, the forum is celebrating its 21st edition this year. This year our partners include BelongTo and LGBT Ireland.

The Gay Health Forum provides an important platform for presentations from up-to-date research, surveillance, policy, and clinical information, from those involved with, and working in, the area of HIV and sexual health in Ireland and internationally. Importantly, the forum presents an opportunity for the community of MSM to engage with service providers and policymakers in advancing the sexual health and wellbeing of gbMSM.

The Gay Health Forum invites submissions for presentations

We accept submissions from any area in LGBTQIA+ health but are particularly interested in LGBTQIA+ sexual health.

We anticipate that the format for presentations will be a mix of formal (10 minute) presentations, posters and panel discussions, but we are also open to other ideas and formats (Pecha-Kucha or Lightning Talks, interviews, podcasts, shout-outs etc.)

We welcome submissions involving original research, community activism, community programmes and healthcare initiatives.

If you are interested in presenting, please send us an abstract of no more than 200 words telling us about your presentation, the presenter/s and what format it would take (poster, formal presentation, panel discussion or other format), by emailing ghf@ghn.ie  by 18 July 2025.

If you have an idea for a presentation, but not sure what form it would take or would like help developing it, contact us by 30 June 2025.
